GSW shareholders, CEO rake in millions in front of rate hike proposal
Dear editor:
The president and CEO of Golden State Water Company, the company that is planning to raise our water rates over 60% over the period from 2023-2027, is Robert Sprowls. He “earned” $3.4 million in salary and bonuses in 2022. Net earnings for Golden State and its parent company, American States Water Company, were $78 million in 2022.
