Claremont Young Musicians Orchestra invites musicians ages 8 to 20 to audition for its main, intermezzo and/or overture string orchestras from August 24 to September 15, ahead of its 36th season. Auditions will be held at a private residence in Claremont.

Cello and bassist auditions will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, August 24; oboe and bassoonists 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 28; violas 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 29; violinists of all excerpts 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, August 31; violinists of fewer than four excerpts 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, September 1; clarinetists 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 3; flautists 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 4; brass noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, September 8; violin, viola, cello, and bass for the overture string orchestra 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, September 14; and percussionists and harpists 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, September 15.
