HMC ranked among best colleges in U.S.
Harvey Mudd College was recently named the second best four-year liberal arts college in the country in Washington Monthly’s “2024 College Guide and Rankings,” and one of the country’s top undergraduate institutions in The Princeton Review’s “The Best 390 Colleges for 2025.”
Washington Monthly’s rating of U.S. colleges and universities is based on contributions to the public good in “social mobility, research and providing opportunities for public service.” HMC has ranked in the publication’s top five since 2016 and was rated number one from 2021 to 2023. Also appearing on the list were Claremont McKenna College at nine, and Pomona College at 10.
Harvey Mudd was joined by Claremont McKenna, Pitzer, Pomona, and Scripps colleges in The Princeton Review. Editors also named the top 25 colleges in 50 categories ranging from laboratory facilities to financial aid to campus food, based on surveys of current students.
