Applicants sought for Tri-City Governing Board

People interested in serving on the Tri-City Mental Health Governing Board can file an application with the Claremont City Clerk’s office. Applications and information are at ci.claremont.ca.us and the City Clerk’s office at city hall, 207 Harvard Ave., which is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

“Tri-City is a principal source of mental health services in Claremont, La Verne, and Pomona. The Board meets on a monthly basis,” according to the city’s webpage. “Applicants should have a willingness to: invest the time and energy required to ensure the health and viability of the system of care; be committed to participate in ongoing education and training; be committed to providing leadership and oversight to the Agency and the mental health system in the three member cities; be committed to being an advocate for the patients served by the Agency and the larger system of care; live or work in the City; have knowledge of mental illness, recovery and self-help; and have knowledge of cultural competency modes and program analysis related to mental health service delivery.”
