Spiritual leaders to hold vigil for immigrant neighbors
The Pomona Valley Spiritual Leaders for Justice, representing a diverse collection of churches and religious communities, is hosting an “Interfaith Vigil for the Disappeared and Fearful, for all of those who have been kidnapped by ICE or are afraid of being kidnapped,” according to a press release. The event, at 7 p.m. Sunday, August 3 in front of Claremont United Methodist Church’s nativity scene at 211 W. Foothill Blvd., Claremont, CA 91711, will include a community vigil, “… as we pray and commit ourselves to action for our immigrant neighbors. Please bring a battery powered candle.”
