Scripps Fine Arts Foundation upcoming events

The Scripps Fine Arts Foundation is offering a series of free monthly community events beginning in September and running through May 2026.
First off is a 2 p.m. September 9 lecture by Claremont Graduate University professor of art theory and history David Pagel about the late Claremont artist Karl Bejamin at Claremont Lewis Museum of Art, 200 W. First St. The museum’s current exhibit, “Complications in Color,” features works by Benjamin in observance of his 100th birthday.
At 2 p.m. October 14, Pomona College art history professor Rosalia Romero will lecture on “Pintor de Poemas: Unseen Works by Alfredo Ramos Martínez,” the upcoming exhibit at the Williamson Gallery, 251 E. 11th St., Claremont.
A luncheon with artist Jeff Faust takes place at 11 a.m. November 13 at Mt. San Antonio Gardens, 900 Harrison Ave., Pomona.
A 2 p.m. December 9 film screening takes place at Scripps College, 1030 N. Columbia Ave., Claremont.
On January 17, 2026, an 11 a.m. members-only luncheon with a discussion on wearable art takes place at a private residence in Claremont.
A 2 p.m. February 10, 2026 gallery tour with ceramic artist Reniel del Rosario for the Scripps College Ceramic Annual takes place at Williamson Gallery.
Scripps President Amy Marcus-Newhall will give a 2 p.m. March 10, 2026 presentation at Centennial Plaza.
Artist Elizabeth Turk speaks at 6 p.m. April 14, 2026 at The Nucleus, 925 N. Mills Ave., Claremont.
On May 21, 2026, Pomona College, 333 N. College Way, hosts an 11:30 a.m. luncheon with artist Marciano Martinez.
