‘TforX: A Chronoscape’ at Sprague Gallery
Harvey Mudd College’s Sprague Gallery is showing “TforX: A Chronoscape,” the first exhibition with Claremont McKenna College alum Nolan Windham and London artist and writer Jasper Eliot, through Friday, October 10 at 320 E. Foothill Blvd., Claremont. The gallery is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with free admission.
The project elevates the use of slit-scan photography, a technique that captures images through a narrow slit over a long exposure period. “TforX builds on this technique by treating video as a multi-dimensional spacetime hypervolume that is scanned through arbitrary positions and orientations using custom software,” a news release read.
