Police Blotter: October 3, 2025

Tuesday, September 23

Officers responded to Be Rosie Salon, 849 W. Foothill Blvd., at 4:17 p.m. on reports of a man striking a window. After speaking to the suspect, a 30-year-old North Hollywood man, officers arrested him on the misdemeanor charge of being under the influence of a controlled substance. He was transported to the Claremont jail, booked, and released with a citation to appear at Pomona Superior Court.


Thursday, September 25

Police responded to a home in the 1000 block of Belmont Abbey Lane at 12:54 a.m. after calls about a suspicious man. There they spoke with a 20-year-old Claremont man. A records check showed a felony CPD warrant, and police said he displayed symptoms of impairment. He was then arrested for the warrant and for being under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Police transported him to the Claremont jail where he was booked, held for detoxification, and later released with a citation.

Police stopped a cyclist for vehicle code violations at 9:46 a.m. near Foothill Boulevard and Sumner Avenue. A records check of the 58-year-old Pomona man showed a misdemeanor warrant, and he was arrested and transported to the Claremont jail. There a search allegedly turned up cocaine, adding felony bringing drugs into a jail to his charge list. He was booked and later released with a citation to appear in court.

Friday, September 26

Police responded to Padua Avenue and Alamosa Drive at 9:45 a.m. following calls about a suspicious man in the area. Arriving officers spoke to a 32-year-old Los Angeles man, and arrested him for being under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. He was taken to CPD, booked, held for detox, and released with a citation.

Sunday, September 28

Claremont police responded to a 6:04 p.m. burglary alarm at Joslyn Senior Center, 660 N. Mountain Ave. Officers were unable to determine what triggered the alarm and there were no signs of entry. They questioned a 28-year-old Claremont man who was charging his cell phone outside the center, and a records check showed three misdemeanor Claremont warrants, leading to his arrest, booking at CPD, and subsequent release with a citation.

Monday, September 29

A call about a car driving through a front yard in the 300 block of Oakdale Drive at 12:06 a.m. drew a police response. Arriving officers spoke with a 31-year-old Claremont man whose car was in the middle of the street. After field sobriety tests he was arrested for misdemeanor DUI. A records check found misdemeanor warrants from San Bernardino County and Pomona PD, which were added to his charge list. He was transported to CPD, booked, held for detox, and released with a citation.

A person in the 400 block of South Indian Hill Bouleard called Claremont PD at 8:11 a.m. to report a car burglary. Officers arrived and spoke with the victim, but said there were no witness reports, suspect info, or surveillance footage to view. Police ask anyone with knowledge of the crime to call (909) 399-5411.

Cal Poly Pomona University police called CPD at 11:40 a.m. after arresting a Pomona woman, 36, who had a misdemeanor Claremont warrant. Officers traveled to 3801 W. Temple Ave., took custody of the woman, and transported her to CPD, where she was booked and held for court. She was released the following day after appearing at Pomona Superior Court.
