House of Ruth’s second annual Pomona Peace Walk to raise awareness for gun and domestic violence gets underway at 4 p.m. Thursday, October 9.

The one-mile walk starts at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, 1798 N. Garey Ave., Pomona, and ends at House of Ruth, 599 N. Main St. The event includes community resource booths, live entertainment, and remarks from survivors of gun and domestic abuse. Complimentary shuttles between the nonprofit office and the hospital will run from 3 to 4 p.m.
