Police Blotter: October 10, 2025

Monday, September 29

Claremont Police responded to College Park, 100 S. College Ave., at 3:50 p.m. following calls about a person spray painting a wall. Arriving officers spoke with witnesses who identified the alleged vandal, a 56-year-old man from Pomona, who was arrested for misdemeanor vandalism and a misdemeanor Pomona warrant. He was transported to the Claremont jail, booked, and later released with a citation to appear at Pomona Superior Court.


Tuesday, September 30

Police were called to Morningside and Woodbend drives at 5:48 p.m. on reports of a motorist colliding with a parked car and trash can. Arriving officers found two children outside the car in question, and allege they were occupants during the collision. Police questioned the driver, a 42-year-old Claremont woman, and after field sobriety tests arrested her for misdemeanor DUI and child endangerment. The children were released to a relative. She was transported to CPD, booked, provided a chemical sample, and held for detoxification before being released with a citation to appear December 2 at Pomona Superior Court.

Thursday, October 2

Police spoke to a man they allegedly saw panhandling outside Chevron/McDonald’s, 860 S. Indian Hill Blvd., at 10:33 a.m. The Pomona man, 52, was on parole, and a records check showed a felony warrant. He was arrested, transported to CPD, booked, and released with a citation.

Officers went to the 900 block of W. Arrow Highway at 9:50 p.m. following a call about a suspicious person in the area. Officers spoke to an 18-year-old Pomona man, and a search allegedly revealed a methamphetamine pipe. He was arrested for misdemeanor possession of unlawful paraphernalia, booked at the Claremont jail, and released with a citation.

Friday, October 3

California Highway Patrol officers arrested a 32-year-old Pomona woman on a felony Claremont warrant and brought her to CPD at 6:52 p.m. The woman was booked and held ahead of her October 6 appearance at Pomona Superior Court, after which she was transferred to Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood with her bail set at $100,000. She is due back in court November 14.

Monday, October 6

Police say they saw a motorist driving on wrong side of road near Indian Hill and Foothill boulevards at 12:02 a.m. and pulled her over. Following field sobriety tests, the driver, a 35-year-old Apple Valley woman, was arrested for misdemeanor DUI. She was transported to CPD, booked, and allegedly refused requests for a chemical sample, including a court order, which resulted in an additional misdemeanor charge of violation of a court order. She was held for detoxification and court, and released October 7 following an appearance at Pomona Superior Court.
