Decades ago, Dominic Sink’s father, James, chose to do something special for his former elementary school Sycamorewith his Eagle Scout project. He secured funds, permits, and volunteers, and painted the auditorium at Sycamore Elementary School which had been in dire need of attention.

And this year his son Dominic elected to contribute something to his former school, Condit Elementary, as part of his own Eagle Scout project by erecting a Gaga ball pit on the playground.

Dominic, now a sophomore at Claremont High School, said he wanted to give something back to Condit as his family has a history there, with three generations of his family attending, and two returning at teachers.

Gaga ball is believed to have originated in Israel. “Gaga” means “hit, hit” in Hebrew.
