Police Blotter: November 7, 2025

Sunday, October 26
Claremont Police Department officers stopped a car for vehicle code violations at Foothill Boulevard and Regis Avenue at 2:56 a.m. After field sobriety tests, police arrested the driver, a 29-year-old San Dimas man, for misdemeanor DUI. A subsequent search allegedly yielded cocaine, adding misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance to his charge list. He was transported to the Claremont jail, booked, held for detoxification, and later released with a citation to appear at Pomona Superior Court.
Police responded to the 500 block of S. College Avenue at 9 p.m. and took a stolen property report involving a suspect who had fled the scene. At 9:57 p.m. the following evening CPD officers spoke to a 41-year-old Pomona man at Indian Hill Boulevard and Arrow Highway who matched the reporting party’s description and allegedly admitted to the theft. He was then arrested for felony grand theft. A records check showed a misdemeanor Claremont warrant, and a search allegedly turned up a narcotics pipe, adding misdemeanor possession of unlawful paraphernalia to his charge list. He was arrested, transported to the Claremont jail, booked, and released with a citation. The stolen item, a pressure washer, was returned it to the victim.
Tuesday, October 28
Claremont police received a report of a 2006 Chevy Silverado stolen between 6 a.m. and 2:40 p.m. from the 800 block of N. Dartmouth Avenue. An investigation is ongoing.
Wednesday, October 29
Police were called to a residence in the 100 block of Bucknell Avenue at 8:39 p.m. on reports of a disturbance. Arriving officers determined a domestic violence incident occurred and the suspected aggressor, a 22-year-old Claremont man, had fled the scene. They later located the suspect on Mount Baldy Road and arrested him for felony domestic violence. He was transported to CPD, booked, and transferred to the Inmate Reception Center in Los Angeles, where he was held for court. He was released November 1.
Friday, October 31
A representative from SoCal Fitness and Massage Therapy, 250 W. First St., called police at 1:31 p.m. to report someone had broken in to the business and taken mail. There was no evidence or signs of forced entry. An investigation is ongoing.
Claremont police stopped a driver for vehicle code violations near Dollar Tree, 305 E. Foothill Blvd., Pomona, at 2:04 p.m. Officers said the driver provided false identification to police. After a portable fingerprint scan was taken, police learned the 22-year-old Pomona man’s true identity. A records check then showed a felony Riverside County warrant and misdemeanor warrants from Claremont and San Bernardino County. He was arrested for the warrants and misdemeanor charge of giving false ID to a peace officer, transported to the Claremont jail, booked, and released with a citation.
Saturday, November 1
Police were called to Eureka, 580 W. First St., at 12:14 a.m. to do a welfare check on a woman. The 24-year-old Downey resident was found to be under the influence of a stimulant and was arrested for misdemeanor being under the influence of controlled substance. She was transported to CPD, booked, held for detox, and later released with a citation.
At 3:46 a.m., police responded to calls about a suspicious vehicle with several occupants at Jaeger Park, 2645 Monticello Rd. During questioning, officers allegedly saw an open container of alcohol near the front seat passenger, an 18-year-old San Bernardino man, and he was arrested for being a minor in possession of alcohol. Police then issued field sobriety tests to the driver, a 20-year-old Fontana man, who was subsequently arrested for misdemeanor underage DUI. Both were transported to the Claremont jail, booked, held for detox, and later released with a citation.
Monday, November 3
Police were called to a residence in the 100 block of W. San Jose Avenue at 7:44 a.m. regarding a catalytic converter theft. An investigation is ongoing.
