Mt. San Antonio opens sensory garden

Mt. San Antonio Gardens held a ribbon cutting Wednesday for its new sensory garden, a therapeutic green space at the 31-acre senior living community.

“This garden opens the doors to residents to experience the outdoors through the five senses,” Mt. San Antonio Gardens President and CEO Patricia Williams wrote in a statement. “We have amazing staff members at the Gardens and this is also a benefit for them.”

Earlier this month, Mt. San Antonio Gardens was recognized by the International Council on Active Aging and NuStep as a top 25 senior living community in North America for the “best in wellness” category. The distinction meant Mt. San Antonio Gardens was a recipient of a 2025 ICAA NuStep Beacon Award. The Pomona facility ranked 15th out of 25. The full list of awardees is at beaconaward.icaa.cc.
