Pomona named ‘energy champion’
San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments and Southern California Regional Energy Network recently named 16 cities “energy champions” for their reduction in energy usage, education and public outreach, energy efficient project implementation, and environmental policy advancement.
This year’s first tier honorees are Pomona, Diamond Bar, Monrovia, Rosemead, and Walnut. Other lower tier winners include Alhambra, South El Monte, Duarte, Irwindale, El Monte, Glendora, Montebello, Monterey Park, San Dimas, San Gabriel, and South Pasadena.
