Claremont Helen Renwick Library invites young quilters ages 10 to 17 to its annual youth quilting bee. Quilters will work 3:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, February 4 and February 11, learning new skills such as hand-sewing and how to operate a sewing machine. Participants will create a quilt for viewing at the Los Angeles County Fair, which runs May 7 to May 31. Permission slips are required and can be picked up at the library, 208 N.
