Long-time Claremont resident Robin Trozpek recently assumed the role of president of American Museum of Ceramic Art’s Board of Directors, replacing Alexandra Muse Ehrlich, who held the seat from 2019 to 2025. Trozpek’s term will run through 2028.
“I am proud to offer my efforts to a museum that has been brought so far by Dave and Julie Armstrong, Beth Ann Gerstein, and its remarkable group of founders,” Trozpek wrote in a news release. “Contemporary clay is a medium we can all enjoy.”
Trozpek will guide the board through implementing the museum’s updated five-year strategic plan, reopening renovated museum spaces, and fostering connections with Pomona and surrounding communities. Trozpek, an alumna of Scripps College, California State University, Fullerton, and UCLA, is an at-large board member for Scripps Fine Arts Foundation. She has been on the museum’s board of directors since 2022 and was previously co-chair of AMOCA’s Advancement Committee.
“Robin has been a strong advocate for AMOCA, championing our mission throughout her tenure on the Board,” wrote AMOCA Executive Director Beth Ann Gerstein. “Her considerable experience and her collaborative approach position us perfectly for the next chapter of our organization. I’m excited to work alongside her as we expand the museum’s reach and deepen our impact in the community.”
