Cal Poly Pomona accounting students and alumni offer free tax help through its Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays through April 11 at Pomona Public Library, 625 S. Garey Ave. Taxpayers with gross incomes below $68,675 are eligible. Active duty military and veterans qualify regardless of income.

Email cppvita.team@outlook.com for an appointment. Walk-ins are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Volunteers can also assist with W-2 income paperwork, unemployment, Social Security, and education-related credits.

“Since the 2017 tax season, CPP’s VITA program has prepared 2,505 tax returns, generating more than $8.6 million in refunds,” according to a news release at XXXX. “During the 2025 filing season alone, volunteers prepared more than 970 returns, resulting in more than $2 million in federal and state refunds.”
