Rancho seeking artists for public art project
Victoria Gardens Cultural Center Public Art Project is seeking artist proposals to beautify three library book drop boxes. Artists can submit up to two design proposals at cityofrc.us/news. The job pays $2,250, and artists who work, reside, or attend school in the Inland Empire will be given preference.
“The design should flow seamlessly across all boxes and reflect the shared identity of the facility, incorporating themes of literature, performing arts, and the Randall Lewis Second Story and Beyond children’s discovery space rooted in STEM, creativity, and imagination,” read a news release. “Artwork should be joyful, family-oriented, and visually engaging for audiences of all ages.”
The application deadline is 11:59 p.m. Thursday, April 16, or as soon as the cap of 100 applications is met. The winning design must be complete by May 21. It will be installed by a third-party vendor later this year.
