Women 40 and up can schedule a $50 mammogram at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center mammography locations in Pomona, Claremont, La Verne and Chino Hills throughout April by calling (909) 469-9395. No physician order or proof of insurance is required. Patients cannot have breast implants, current breast problems, or history of breast cancer in the past five years.
Mammography locations include The Robert and Beverly Lewis Family Cancer Care Center, 1910 Royalty Dr., Pomona, and health centers at 1601 N. Monte Vista Ave., Claremont, 2333 Foothill Blvd., La Verne, and 2140 Grand Ave., Chino Hills.
Mammograms help with breast cancer detection and diagnosis, and can aid in treatment options and health outcomes.
PVHMC offers the SmartCurve breast stabilization system, which is clinically proven to deliver a more comfortable mammogram without compromising image quality, workflow, or dose, according to a news release at pvhmc.org. “The system detects more invasive cancers and reduces false positives, pain, and discomfort associated with flat paddle compression traditionally used for mammograms.”
