CalBG bird festival returns next weekend

Bird enthusiasts of all ages are invited to spot, interact with and celebrate winged friends at California Botanic Garden’s annual Family Bird Festival, running from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, February 15 at 1500 N. College Ave., Claremont. The festival is free with garden admission. Tickets, $5-$15, are at calbg.org.
The event will feature educational activities, the great backyard bird count, and information about Southern California birds, birding, habitats, anatomy, and adaptations. Booths will host staff from Pomona Valley Bird Alliance, International Bird Rescue, Cal Poly Pomona Urban Wildlife Lab, San Bernardino County Museum, San Dimas Canyon Nature Center, Wild Birds Unlimited, Friends of California Condors Wild and Free, and the Los Angeles Catio Tour.
