CalBG water wise festival set for November 13
California Botanic Garden holds its free water wise community festival on Sunday, November 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission to the garden, 1500 N. College Ave., Claremont, is free for the day.
The festival will connect attendees with personnel from Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, Chino Basin Water Conservation District, Los Angeles County Department of Public Works, California Native Plant Society(Riverside/San Bernardino and San Gabriel Valley branches), Alf Museum of Paleontology, Day One, the Claremont Colleges’ Environmental Analysis program, local landscapers and other organizations. Booths will be set up to answer any water conversation questions.
The event includes live music, garden tours, workshops, family-friendly story times and craft stations, food trucks, raffles for nursery gift certificates, water conservation supplies, CalBG merch, a panel discussion on the impacts of drought on California’s native plant conservation efforts, and more.
