CalBG’s Luminaria Nights returns
California Botanic Garden’s Luminaria Nights returns Friday, December 8, with a CalBG member preview from 6 to 9 p.m. at 1500 N. College Ave., Claremont, including a VIP reception for acorn and family plus level members. The public is invited to view luminaria and string light-lined garden paths from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, December 9-10, and Friday and Saturday, December 15-16.
Food trucks and bars will rotate each night, and art installations by Lachlan Turczan and Craig Burrows will be on display. Musical performers include Native American flautist Steve Rushingwind (December 8, 9, 15, and 16), folk trio ShamaMamahs (December 8), harpist Pheobe Madison Schrafft (December 9, 10 and 15), original music and covers by Anamaria De La Cruz and ensemble (December 10 and 16), electronic soundscapes by Celia Hollander and Floating (December 10), and stylings by The Jazz Doctors (December 15 and 16).
Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students, seniors, children ages 3 to 12, and CalBG adult members, $10 for CalBG student, senior and child members.
