Neither wind nor rain could keep the Claremont High School marching band from taking the field for Saturday’s Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association event hosted by the Wolfpack.
A fast-moving storm rolled through, dropping light rain just as CHS prepared for its 7:30 p.m. performance. The musicians pressed ahead, delivering a lively, fast-paced show that appeared largely unaffected by the conditions.
Other high school bands performing at the event included groups from Santa Ana, Monrovia, Glendora, and Damien. Courier photos/Peter Weinberger

Moving equipment for Glendora High School’s marching band took a coordinated effort, with dozens of instruments and props hauled alongside the musicians in uniform.

Damien High School incorporated giant movie film canisters into its themed performance at the CHS football field Saturday.
