City looking for young national anthem singers

Children in grades four through six who reside or attend school in Claremont are invited to audition for a chance to sing the national anthem at this year’s Fourth of July Celebration.
April 15 is the deadline to submit an audition entry at claremontca.gov/4th-contests. Auditions will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 16 at Alexander Hughes Community Center, 1700 Danbury Rd., Claremont.
The winner will perform at the honoree recognition and fireworks show, receive fireworks show tickets, and be featured in the parade. Runners-up may be selected to perform at concerts in the park.
