The free and open to the public Claremont Art Walk takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 1, with a wide variety of exhibits, including:
- Ahmad Shariff Art Gallery, 107 Harvard Ave.: “A Heartfelt Farewell” by Elisa Arancibia.
- Benton Museum of Art, 120 W. Bonita Ave.: “Jonathan Lethem’s Parallel Play: Contemporary Art and Art Writing,” “Black Ecologies In Contemporary Art,” “Doubles: Prints and drawings from the Collections of the Benton Museum of Art and Ian White,” and “One Last Thing Again.”
- Bunny Gunner, 230 W. Bonita Ave.: “Elizabeth Carr’s “Signs of Spring.”
- Casa 425, 425 W. First St.: “Alternative Voice” by Gorman Bentley.
- Claremont Chamber of Commerce, 205 Yale Ave.: “Familiar Faces” by Cheyne Ellett.
- Claremont Forum Bookshop, 586 W. First St.: staff art showcase.
- Claremont Lewis Museum of Art, 200 W. First St.: “Home in Aztlán: The Garcia Collection of Chicanx Art” and “One of Your Girls or Your Homies: Tan Jazz Mont” through Sunday, March 23. Drop by from 6 to 7 p.m. for “Piñata Bash,” followed by music from Coup DeVille.
- Pomona Valley Art Association, 317 W. First. St.: works by Miranda Rothnie, Katherine Staab, and Rose Calderon.
- Studio C, 260 W. Bonita Ave.: “For the Love,” an exhibit from various artists to benefit the Pasadena Humane Society.
