Mike Ciszek was sworn in as Claremont Police Department’s 14th chief in an April 17 pinning ceremony at the DoubleTree Hotel.

“It’s just exciting,” Chief Ciszek said after the ceremony. “I’m overwhelmed by the amount of support that’s here. Again, it’s going to be a challenge, but I’m up for the challenge and we’ll do it together as a community.”

Ciszek, 52, who has been with CPD since 1996, replaces former Chief Aaron Fate, who retired April 1.
