Longtime Claremont resident Sandi Kaneko, owner of Sandi Kaneko Interiors, will be featured this Saturday, November 16 on the HGTV series “House Hunters Renovation.” The episode is scheduled to air at 8 p.m. on HGTV, viewable on Spectrum channel 160, Dish channel 112, DirecTV channel 229, and Verizon Fios channel 165. Kaneko was skeptical when she received the initial email inquiry from the show’s producers, Pie Town Productions.

“I nearly deleted the email because I thought it was spam,” she wrote in a news release. “But I checked with friends in the interior design community and they encouraged me to respond because Pietown is a well-respected production company that produces a lot of very successful shows.”

Once interviewed and selected for the show, Kaneko spent several months working on a home in the Leimert Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Most of Kaneko’s work focuses on residential homes, though some of her local projects include designing the Village restaurant Grafted Cellars and local nonprofit A Stable Space.
