Only one of seven Claremont Little League All-Star squads is standing, the 11-and-unders, who are now 6-0 in tournament play and headed for the District 43 tournament in San Bernardino.

After securing the 11U California Little League District 20 title, the team began Section 3 tournament play July 15 with a 12-2 win over Upland Foothill. Claremont then shutout South Pasadena, 10-0, on July 16 to secure a spot in Tuesday’s title game, again against Upland Foothill.

Claremont kept rolling, blowing by Upland again, 10-0 via the mercy rule, and punching the team’s ticket to the Division/State District 43 tourney. Play begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 22 at Newmark Field, 3900 Severance Ave., San Bernardino.
