Deadlines approaching for March 5 election
It’s time for registered voters to fill out and turn in ballots for the 2024 presidential primary election, which takes place Tuesday, March 5.
The voter registration deadline is Tuesday, February 20. Eligible voters who miss this deadline will not be able to request a mail-in ballot but can still cast a ballot at any vote center beginning Saturday, February 24. To check your status or to register to vote in Los Angeles County, visit lavote.gov/vrstatus.
The City of Claremont will open an in-person early voting center at Granite Creek Community Church, 1580 N. Claremont Blvd., Claremont, Friday, February 23. Additional centers will open Saturday, March 2 at Condit Elementary School, 1750 N. Mountain Ave.; El Roble Intermediate School, 665 N. Mountain Ave.; and the Claremont Unified School District office, 170 W. San Jose Ave. All polling places are open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily through Monday, March 4, and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, March 5. Additional voting centers can be found at locator.lavote.net/locations/vc.
Vote-by-mail ballots can be delivered to the drop box at Alexander Hughes Community Center, 1700 Danbury Rd.; Claremont Helen Renwick Library, 208 Harvard Ave.; and Pomona North Metrolink Station, 205 Santa Fe St., Pomona.
