Musicians from El Roble Intermediate School earned the highest honors at the May 11 Trills and Thrills music festival at Buena Park High School.

El Roble’s String Orchestra and Wind Ensemble received the highest rating of superior. The Concert Band (made up of all 7th grade students) received the second highest rating of excellent.

“All of the students performed very well,” said El Roble Music Director Jeff Brown. “I am very proud of all of their individual growth as musicians this school year and the ensembles’ ability to listen and react to each other and my conducting in performance. It has been a great school year with El Roble’s instrumental music classes.”
