Friday, August 16

• The Rancho Cucamonga Chamber of Commerce hosts a free 8:30 a.m. Inland Empire Hispanic Business Alliance meeting at 9500 Cleveland Ave., Suite #110. RSVP at business.ranchochamber.org/events.

 

• Benefit the Friends of the Claremont Library by purchasing a half priced book or other item through August at Claremont Helen Renwick Library, 208 N. Harvard Ave. Library hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

 

• Pomona’s Office of Violence Prevention and Neighborhood Well-Being hosts a free and open to the public 4 to 6 p.m. Friday night lights event at Ganesha Park, 1575 N. White Ave.

• This month’s 8 to 10 a.m. Claremont cars and coffee event at Last Name Brewing, 2120 Porterfield Way, Upland, is free and open to the public. All vehicles are welcome.

 

• A free and public cars and coffee event takes place from 8 to 10 a.m. at 121 N. San Dimas Ave., San Dimas. Register cars at sandimasca.gov or by calling (909) 394-6230.

 

• The weekly free and open to the public Pomona Valley certified farmers’ market runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the northwest corner of Pearl Street and Garey Avenue. More info is at sustainableclaremont.org.

 

• The American Museum of Ceramic Art, 399 N. Garey Ave, Pomona, opens its newest exhibit, “Architectural Pottery: Ceramics for a Modern Landscape,” at 11 a.m. Admission is $14 for adults, seniors are $9, and students and Pomona residents $7.
