- Kiwanis Club of Claremont’s See’s Candies fundraiser runs through December 24 at Hibbard Auto Center, 191 S. Indian Hill Blvd., from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, closed Sundays. Orders can be placed during the weekly Sunday farmer’s market in the Village and at claremontkiwanis.org.

- The Upland community farmers market runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday near 305 N. Second Ave.

- Today’s the final day Children’s Foundation of America volunteers will be wrapping gifts at Montclair Place, 5060 N. Montclair Plaza Ln. Drop by from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

- Merry Christmas from the Courier! In observance of the holiday, city offices, the post office, the chamber of commerce, and our offices will be closed.
Tuesday, December 26
- Happy Kwanzaa from the Courier! Kwanzaa is an African-American and Pan-African celebration of family, community and culture that runs from December 26 through January 1.
- The Joslyn Center, 660 N. Mountain Ave., Claremont, will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday through Friday for the elderly nutrition program only. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. The Joslyn Center and Blaisdell Community Center, 440 S. College Ave., will resume regular hours and classes on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
Wednesday, December 27
- Los Angeles County Library invites Spanish speakers to make a reading list for 2024 during its 4 to 5 p.m. virtual books and coffee event. Go to visit.lacountylibrary.org for more info.
Thursday, December 28
- Seniors with Get Walking Claremont meet at 8 a.m. Thursdays at 2471 N. Indian Hill Blvd. for a walk along Thompson Creek Trail. Walkers are asked to arrive 15 minutes early to sign in and hear announcements.

Saturday, December 30
