Friday, July 28

  • Rancho Cucamonga’s IncredAbles Friday night fun club hosts a special needs movie night from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Central Park, 11200 Base Line Rd., for those ages 8 and up with a $6 screening of “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.” Register at us/events or at the event.

  • The Friends of the Claremont Library host a children’s book festival from 10 a.m. to noon at 208 N. Harvard Ave. The free and open to the public event includes free books, crafts, and stories read by librarians.

  • Claremont concludes its free and open to the public movies in the park series with National Night Out hosted by the Claremont Police Department beginning at 6 p.m. followed by a 7:30 screening of “DC League of Super-Pets” (2022) at Memorial Park, 840 N.   • Claremont Senior Computer Club hosts a free 1 to 4:30 p.m. technology assistance lab at the Joslyn Center, 660 N. Mountain Ave., the first Friday of each month. The lab is open to seniors who need help with laptops, tablets, phones, or other devices. Computers are also available.
  • The war and existentialism book club meets the first Friday of each month from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Joslyn Center, 660 N. Mountain Ave., Claremont. August’s book is “The House of the Spirits” by Isabel Allende. Attendance is free but preregistration is required by calling (909) 399-5488.
