Friday, November 14

  • People can help a child in need this holiday season via the giving tree at Montclair Place, 5060 E. Montclair Plaza Ln. Visit center court, take a tag, then return it by December 23 with a new, unwrapped gift. More info is at montclairplace.com/events.

 

 

  • Pianist Nic Gerpe plays a free 12:15 p.m. concert at Balch Auditorium, 1030 Columbia Ave., Claremont.

 

 

  • Pomona College’s Studio Art Hall, at 370 Columbia Ave., Claremont, hosts a free and public 4 p.m. opening reception for “Chance Encounter,” with works by Thomas Aguilar, Josh Allard, Yadira Barrales Lopez, Becca Choe, Charlie Coleman, Leon Moreno, Mariela Tamez-Elizonda, Nora Wu, and Daisy Dong.
