Foothill Family Shelter host food drive
Next Saturday beginning at 9 a.m., the community is invited to donate what they “can” to the Foothill Family Shelter, which will be hosting their September food drive. This food drive aims to keep the shelter’s pantry stocked so that they can continue to supply families in need with food.
According to a flyer for the event, accepted items include, but are not limited to, canned vegetables, canned fruit and fruit cups, instant potatoes, oatmeal, mac and cheese, instant ramen and/or noodles, Chef Boyardee cans, Rice-A-Roni, pasta sauce and noodles, canned protein, canned beans, canned soup, nonperishable snacks and beef jerky.
Patrons can also support the food drive online by donating at www.foothillfamilyshelter.org/make-a-donation. Be sure to label the donation as “pantry.”
For more information about the food drive, email their volunteer coordinator Raquel Sanchez at raquel@foothillfamilyshelter.org. The Foothill Family Shelter is located at 1501 West 9th Street, Suite D in Upland. Donations will be accepted at the rear of the building.
