Free virtual interactive classes to be held by IVHP
Inter Valley Health Plan and Claremont Senior Program are offering an array of free, interactive online classes as part of their virtual “Virtual Vitality Series.”

Thursday, August 12, 10 a.m. – Master Gardener: Bulbs for Spring. “Even though we are still in summer, there are steps you can take now to begin preparing for the spring,” read a joint press release. “A Riverside master gardener will discuss the best bulb planting and care for a beautiful spring garden.”
Wednesday, August 18, noon – Hypertension: What you Need to Know. “High blood pressure can affect just about every part of your body. Learn what hypertension is, what it does to the body, how to recognize the signs and symptoms of complications, and how to manage this condition.”
Thursday, August 19, 10 a.m. – Sleep Well, Be Well. “Sleep is important and can play a vital part in your quality of life. Common sleep disorders will be discussed, such as insomnia, restless leg syndrome, sleep apnea, night leg cramps and more. Learn the causes and treatments to help you get a good night’s sleep.”
Tuesday, August 24, 11 a.m. – Feeling Good with Art. “Darlene Merkler will discuss how creating art may help with anxiety, depression, or just plain not-feeling-good! Don’t miss this great, interactive class and have paper and a colorful medium of your choice at the ready; pencils, gel pens, or crayons work well.”
