Passenger service for the recently completed A Line light rail extension project connecting the existing A Line Azusa station to the cities of Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne and Pomona is set to open September 19.
The 9.1-mile extension reached substantial completion January 3. Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority has been conducting test rides and has now given the green light to open for service. Pre-revenue service, which mimics passenger service without passengers, began July 27.
