“While most theaters request that kids and audiences keep quiet throughout the film, that will not be the case at … ‘Gracie & Pedro: Pets to the Rescue Live!’” read a press release. “In fact, during this out-of-the-box event, live actors will do creative skits while inviting kids, their dogs and their families to actively participate during the movie screening by singing songs, speaking out, and playing with noise makers as they see key signals happen in the movie.”
The movie features Brooke Shields, Alicia Silverstone, Susan Sarandon, Oscar-nominee Bill Nighy, Al Franken, and Danny Trejo.
“What makes this release truly unique is the incorporation of motion graphics on screen, alongside the actors, directing kids and families on how to actively participate with the film,” said producer Amy Taylor. “To the best of our knowledge, ‘Gracie & Pedro: Pets to the Rescue’ will be the first film to engage audiences in this particular way.”
Attendees are invited to bring a picnic, blankets, or low lawn chairs. Snack and food trucks will be available.
The film opens in theaters in August. More information is at gracieandpedro.com.
