Kelly Xu qualifies for US Open

First year Stanford University golfer Kelly Xu qualified for the 78th U.S. Women’s Open Golf Championship Monday after placing first at The Peninsula Golf and Country Club during United States Golf Association qualification conducted by Northern California Golf Association.

Xu, a Claremont native and 2022 Claremont High School graduate, recorded 141 stokes across two rounds, 69 in the first and 72 in round two, to best second place Aine Donegan at 145, 72 and 73.
