L.A. County Fair’s springtime return — video
After a two-year hiatus, the new and improved Los Angeles County Fair opened last Thursday and runs through May 30. The move from summer to spring means cooler daytime temperatures and also coincides with several holidays including Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day and Memorial Day. And 2022 is a big year reflected in the theme “Back to our Roots” to celebrate the fair’s 100th anniversary.
“We are excited to welcome back our guests and vendors to what is certainly going to be a sentimental return to the LA County Fair,” said Walter Marquez, President and CEO of Fairplex. “We’ve heard from guests how much they’ve missed the Fair. When the gates open in May, we will be back in the business of making memories.”
The L.A. County Fair is open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday through Sunday plus Memorial Day, Monday May 30 which is also closing day.
Entertainment includes the Village People (in photo below from May 7 concert), The Beach Boys, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Lady A, Alfa 7, ZZ top and many more. For more information, check out: https://www.lacountyfair.com/concerts/.
And of course there’s the food. Or shall we say, food, food, and even more food.
