Local volunteers help seniors with yard care

Local students, Rotarians Mike Ciszek, Nona Tirre and George McDonald, and 2025 Universal Woman pageant winner Ivana Carolina were among the volunteers who helped Community Restoration and Revival tidy up yards for seniors on Sunday.

The Community Restoration and Revival organization was founded by Claremont High School student Mario Miranda and is currently sponsored by the Rotary Club of Claremont. Its mission is to help seniors who can no longer maintain their yards or afford a gardener to keep them tidy. On January 25 the group cleaned up more than 35 yards. Folks interested in volunteering should email Nona Tirre at rotarynona@gmail.com.
