In its first showing at Golden Bean The Americas 2024, a coffee roasting competition held last month at the Eldorado Ballroom in Houston, Texas, Lucky’s Coffee Roasters brought home five silver and five bronze medals across various categories.
Award-winning entries included the Lucky Blend, a silver medalist in the short black espresso category, and bronze medalist in the pour over filter and milk-based latte categories; Wilder Lazo’s Geisha Spirit, a pour over filter silver medalist and bronze medalist in the short black espresso categories; El Vergel Guava Banana, a short black espresso silver medalist and bronze medalist in the pour over filter categories; and Los Nogales Legacy Decaf, a silver medalist in the super automatic espresso and pour over filter categories and a short black espresso bronze medalist.
“Being recognized with 10 awards in our first competition is a significant milestone for us,” wrote Tyler Smith, founder of Lucky’s Coffee Roasters, in a statement. “While we didn’t take home a gold this time, the recognition from the judges affirms the hard work and dedication we put into our craft.”
Coffees are available at Lucky’s locations in Upland, 387 N. Second Ave., and Claremont, 665 E. Foothill Blvd., Suite B, and at luckys.coffee.
