PVHMC doctor named top 10 in country
Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center physician Lori Vanyo, who is also the medical director of the Robert and Beverly Lewis Family Cancer Care Center, has been named one of the top 10 cancer care liaisons nationwide, receiving the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer Outstanding Performance Award which recognizes liaison physicians’ work to improve the quality of care for cancer patients in their local communities.
“Delivering the highest possible level of care to our patients with cancer is our number one priority, and while it’s an honor to me personally to receive this award, it also serves to recognize the extraordinary work our team performs daily to achieve this goal,” wrote Dr. Vanyo in a statement. “It is a privilege to work alongside this dedicated, skilled, and compassionate team of professionals, and our triennial work to maintain our CoC accreditation serves also to continuously elevate our already outstanding program.”
