Quakes will remain in Rancho for another 15 years
Last month, the City of Rancho Cucamonga announced that a new 15-year lease agreement with Rancho Baseball LLC had been inked to allow the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, a minor-league affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, to continue to call LoanMart Field, 8408 Rochester Ave., home. “With the approval of this new lease agreement, construction on the improvements needed for LoanMart Field to meet the facility specs by 2025 will begin immediately,” the news release at cityofrc.us/rcquakes read. The news was warmly welcomed by both Rancho Cucamonga Mayor L. Dennis Micahael and Rancho Cucamonga Quakes Baseball President Brent Miles. “We are thrilled to extend our partnership with Rancho Baseball LLC and secure the Quakes’ home in Rancho Cucamonga for another 15 years,” Mayor Michael wrote in a statement. “The Quakes have brought decades of joy and excitement to our community, and this agreement ensures their legacy continues.” The Quakes were first formed in 1966 in Lodi, California, and, following stays in Ventura and San Bernardino, relocated to Rancho Cucamonga in 1993. The team has produced notable Major Leaguers including Mike Trout, Corey Seager, and Cody Bellinger. For more info, visit cityofrc.us/rcquakes.
