Shoes That Fit to be honored for 30 years of service
Claremont-based nonprofit Shoes That Fit will be recognized by the city and chamber of commerce for three decades of community service at an 11 a.m. ribbon cutting on Monday, September 12 outside the organization’s Village office, 150 W. First St., Claremont.
The public is invited to attend but must RSVP at business.claremontchamber.org.
Later on Monday, the nonprofit will be recognized during the Pomona City Council’s regular 7 p.m. meeting at the council chamber, 505 S. Garey Ave., Pomona. Then on Tuesday, September 13 the Claremont City Council will honor the nonprofit during its open to the public 6:30 p.m. meeting at council chamber, 225 W. Second St., Claremont.
Along with celebrating its 30th anniversary year, the organization is holding a fundraiser to raise $80,000 to bring shoes to even more children in need. To learn more about the event or Shoes That fit’s 30 years of service, visit shoesthatfit.org/30years.
