The Ontario Chaffey Community Show Band, along with Gary and Miriam Keith, will present the “Centennial Tribute to Jack Mercer” at 7:30 p.m. Monday, June 19 at the Gardiner W. Spring Auditorium, 1250 N. Euclid Ave., Ontario.

The band will perform a medley of Mercer’s favorite songs including “You Made Me Love You,” “June in January,” “You’ll Never Know,” and “That Old Black Magic,” and “A Flash of Light.”

Mercer came to Ontario in 1957 to work as the director of bands and instrumental music at Chaffey High School. After retiring in 1985, he founded and directed the Chaffey Ontario Community Show Band.
