Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus, right down Harvard Avenue!

The City of Trees was transformed into the City of Christmas Magic on Friday, December 5 when Santa Claus came to town.

Mr. and Mrs. Claus, together with one of their reindeer traveled from the North Pole to meet with good little boys and girls at Claremont City Hall from 5 to 6 p.m. and again from 7 to 8 p.m.

The Claremont Village was also be transformed into a holiday wonderland where the young and young at heart enjoyed the festivities. The Holiday Promenade included live entertainment from The Moultrie Academy, Dynamite Dawson, El Roble Jazz Band and holiday carolers throughout the streets. Village businesses also participated as Holiday Cheer Stops and provided delicious holiday treats.

Top of the night was at the Claremont Depot for the magnificent Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 p.m.

The Holiday Promenade and Tree Lighting Ceremony is co-sponsored by the city of Claremont, the DoubleTree Hotel and the Claremont Village Marketing Group.
