Pedestrian killed in early morning accident
A car struck and killed a pedestrian at the intersection of Indian Hill and San Jose early Friday morning.
The incident happened at approximately 6:09 a.m. on the south side of the intersection, according to Lt. Aaron Fate of the Claremont Police Department. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the male pedestrian unresponsive and lying in the street.
He was taken to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, where he later died.

The southbound lanes of Indian Hill is currently closed between San Jose and the 10 freeway as the investigation continues. The road closure is expected to last several hours. San Jose Avenue remains open to traffic.
