‘Fun’draiser Sunday, get your dodgeball at CHS
The Claremont Educational Foundation (CEF)
will host its annual “March Radness!” Dodgeball
Tournament tomorrow, Sunday, March 18, from
noon to 6 p.m.
There’s a good chance it will rain, but that shouldn’t
dampen spirits, since the event—which features
teams of kids in 4th through 12th grades and adults
involved in community organizations—will be held
inside the Claremont High School gym.
While participants pay to play, with proceeds benefiting
the CEF’s Get on the Bus campaign, anyone
can come and enjoy the competition. The fun includes
free playground games for kids of all ages,
plus music, face painting, magic and balloon art.
Gourmet food trucks will also be on hand.
Attendees are encouraged to stop by the $365 donation
table and pick up their 2012 “Get on the Bus”
yard sign, and to participate in a Prius Raffle with the
grand prize of a 2012 Toyota Prius hybrid.
Tickets for the raffle, which benefits public education
in Claremont, are $25. The drawing will take
place next Sunday, March 25, at 2 p.m. at Claremont
Toyota. (For more information on the Prius Raffle,
visit www.claremont educationalfoundation.org or
call 399-1709.
March Radness! concludes at 5:30 p.m. with an
award ceremony featuring trophies for dodgeball
winners, including one for the most original team
uniform.
Claremont High School is located at 1601 N. Indian
Hill Blvd.
