Indian Hill to close for special CHS presentation
Indian Hill Boulevard will be shut down Wednesday morning, March 21, from Scripps Drive to Colby Circle for Claremont High School’s annual presentation of “Every 15 minutes.” The closure is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Both the north and south lanes will be closed for the yearly program, which provides students with a reenactment of the possible consequences involved with drinking or texting while driving. Every 15 minutes someone dies in the United States of an alcohol-related traffic collision is the premise behind the program’s title. Indian Hill will be blocked off for a simulated traffic collision to give students a first-hand experience of the devastation.
Claremont Police will be on hand for emergency access to the blocked-off street. For more information on the program, visit www.every15minutes.com.
